Tim Kottak, Managing Partner

Tim is a senior advisor in technology strategy, digital transformation, product development, and service excellence.  He has guided his clients and companies in achieving millions in revenue growth and productivity, while establishing robust product development processes and reducing enterprise risks.

Tim has held senior executive roles in Engineering, IT and Quality/Regulatory for medical device development, healthcare IT, and services. He has a strong track record of successfully delivering customer outcomes, business growth, and organizational vitality through innovation, effective partnerships and execution rigor.

Tim was most recently the CIO of GE Healthcare’s Global Services business where he led the digital strategy and execution of medical device asset management, digital services, customer contact centers, service supply chain, sales, marketing and ecommerce.  He successfully championed and operationalized IoT technologies, AI for predictive analytics and services, and unified customer communications.

Prior to his CIO role, Tim held CTO roles in GE Healthcare’s Global Service and Life Support Solutions business.  He led product development for Imaging Services, dose management, medical device asset management, biomedical engineering, anesthesia, respiratory care, maternal/infant care and medical device accessories. As a thought leader in these roles, Tim championed dozens of product and service innovations and introduced new processes for co-designing with customers, optimizing outsourcing and growing talent.

As an executive leader in GE’s Quality & Regulatory organization, Tim led the creation and pragmatic adoption of new procedures in Design Controls, Software Development Life Cycle, Usability, Supply Chain, Service and CAPA.

Prior to GE Healthcare, Tim was the Quality Leader for GE Appliances in Europe where he introduced Lean process optimization and Six Sigma for product design.  Before joining GE, Tim served as an officer in the US Air Force leading R&D for advanced infrared sensor and navigation systems.  Tim has helped numerous non-profit and charitable causes as a board member, advisor, and team leader.

Tim has a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and MS degree in Management Science from the University of Dayton.  He lives with his family in Pewaukee, WI.
