Jim Varelis, Partner
Jim is a Senior Partner with over 35 years of management consulting and industry experience. Jim advises his C-level clients in business and product strategies, R&D productivity, and operational improvements. His passion revolves around establishing new innovative business models and guiding company executives to successfully execute and achieve results.
Jim’s expertise in strategy and R&D is key to achieving millions in corporate value creation over his career. Jim supports clients in multiple industries with significant expertise in Medical Device and Pharmaceuticals.
Prior to Stonebank Partners, Jim was a Sr. Partner at PwC and PRTM in their strategic advisory consulting business. He supported many of the largest life sciences clients in the world globally to grow and improve business margins. As importantly, his work has materially contributed to the creation of many of the medical innovations that we take advantage of today. In addition, Jim has been in corporate VP roles and an entrepreneur.
Jim holds an MBA from Northwestern University and Bachelors and Masters in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University. Jim is very family-oriented and often travels to visit family in Greece and Germany. He is also an avid car collector.
